What if my tile arrives damaged?

We pack every tile carefully, but if something does go wrong in transit: send us a photo of the damage and we will send you a new one free of charge. It is that simple.

What happens to my uploaded photo?

Your photo is only used to create and deliver your order. If you do not place an order, your photo is automatically removed from our servers.

Can the tile go in the bathroom or kitchen?

Yes! The image is baked into the ceramic and moisture-resistant, so kitchen splashes or a steamy bathroom are no problem. Want to mount the tile permanently? Use fine (unsanded) grout or silicone sealant so the surface does not get scratched.

How do I clean my tile?

With a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, they can scratch the surface.

Can the tile go in the dishwasher?

That depends on the quality you choose. The standard tile is not dishwasher safe: clean it with a soft, damp cloth. Choose the Ultra-HD tile when you order and a glaze layer goes over your design, which makes your tile dishwasher safe. The hexagon and rectangular tiles only come in standard quality, so they are not dishwasher safe.

Can I use the tile as a floor tile?

No, the tile is made as decoration: on the wall, on a tile holder or as an eye-catcher on a shelf. Foot traffic wears the image down, so it will not last as a floor tile.

Beautiful gift of a beautiful memory · I ordered this for my husband, for our first wedding anniversary. It was delivered promptly, I had separately ordered a nice little stand and it’s now on display in the toilet (next to some other fun tiles). Both he, and I, are very happy with it! I’ll also have one made of his daughters soon, for his birthday.

Super fun! · Really so beautiful!! The little tile exceeded my expectations in every way. I gave it as a gift and the person who received it was hugely surprised and is very happy with it. The little tile has been given a place of honor. I will certainly not hesitate to give another tile as a gift or to order one for myself.

Description

A real ceramic tile with your photo in classic Delft Blue, printed straight onto the tile: a medallion, an ornamental border and cobalt blue on cream-white glaze. Available in 11, 15 and 20 cm.
Made to order in the Netherlands, produced within 24-48 hours and shipped carefully packed.

Upload tips

A sharp, well-lit photo with the face clearly visible gives the best result. Avoid blurry or dark photos, backlight and very small crops.
Several people in the photo? Make sure everyone is clearly visible and not too small in the frame. JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF and TIFF are supported.

Important: read this before you order

The preview you approve is exactly what we print. Check the crop, the spelling of your text and the size before you check out.
Your photo is redrawn in Delft Blue: faces and details are interpreted in the style, not copied. Very dark subjects (a black dog, a dark coat) and low-contrast photos keep less detail.
Your tile has the same colours as the examples: cobalt blue on cream-white glaze. A screen can show the blue slightly differently from the real tile.
Production starts right after your order; nothing can be changed afterwards. Personalised tiles cannot be returned. If your tile arrives damaged, you get a new one for free.

About this product

There is one façade you would know anywhere. The House Tile puts that façade in classic Delft Blue on real ceramic — with the street name and house number underneath, if you want them.

What goes on it?

You upload a photo of the front of the house and we render it in classic Delft-blue style: the door, the dormer, the bay window, the ivy along the side wall. Underneath, in that same blue lettering, goes whatever you want with it — street and number, the postcode, or the year you got the keys.

So it starts with your photo, not with a row of stock houses from a catalogue. Which is why it looks like the house, and not like a house.

Who is it for?

The classic new-home gift: for a first place of their own, for the housewarming, or for the neighbours who still have nothing on the wall a year later. It works just as well the other way round — as a farewell gift for a house being sold, or as a keepsake for parents leaving the family home behind.

How do I display it?

On the wall in the hallway? Add a hanger to your order. Prefer it on the windowsill or the bookshelf? Choose the tile stand. Handing it over with the keys? Add gift wrapping.

A keyring gets lost and a photo stays on your phone. This hangs beside the front door it shows — or, years later, beside a completely different one.
