Description
- A real ceramic tile with your photo in classic Delft Blue, printed straight onto the tile: a medallion, an ornamental border and cobalt blue on cream-white glaze. Available in 11, 15 and 20 cm.
- Made to order in the Netherlands, produced within 24-48 hours and shipped carefully packed.
Upload tips
- A sharp, well-lit photo with the face clearly visible gives the best result. Avoid blurry or dark photos, backlight and very small crops.
- Several people in the photo? Make sure everyone is clearly visible and not too small in the frame. JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF and TIFF are supported.
Important: read this before you order
- The preview you approve is exactly what we print. Check the crop, the spelling of your text and the size before you check out.
- Your photo is redrawn in Delft Blue: faces and details are interpreted in the style, not copied. Very dark subjects (a black dog, a dark coat) and low-contrast photos keep less detail.
- Your tile has the same colours as the examples: cobalt blue on cream-white glaze. A screen can show the blue slightly differently from the real tile.
- Production starts right after your order; nothing can be changed afterwards. Personalised tiles cannot be returned. If your tile arrives damaged, you get a new one for free.

About this product
A Dutch tradition four centuries old, made personal for you today — on the only rectangular tile we make. The Rectangular Delft Blue Photo Tile captures your photo in classic Delft Blue style, with an oval medallion, an ornate floral border and cobalt on porcelain white, and fires the result onto a ceramic tile of 19.8 by 14.8 centimetres: landscape by default, portrait on request.
What makes this style special?
Our AI's Delft Blue style rebuilds your portrait as a traditional Delft tile painting. Facial structure, expression and recognisable features stay true to the original, but drawn with the soft brushstrokes and deep cobalt blue of the old masters of Delft. An oval medallion centres the portrait; graceful flowers, leaves and corner ornaments frame it — and which of those ornamented layouts it becomes is your choice.
With several people in the photo, everyone stays in view. Our AI adjusts the composition so that all the main figures fit neatly inside the medallion; nobody is cropped away.
Why this format?
Almost everything we make in ceramic is square. This is not. A wide surface is made for the people you put in the picture together: two people side by side do not have to be squeezed together, grandma and grandpa both fit whole, and an owner with their dog gets the width a square never gives. Here the medallion lies on its side, wide and oval, with room to the left and right, so the flowers and ornaments can stretch out on both sides instead of sitting in four cramped corners. One person, a full-length shot or a facade? Switch the tile to portrait: you then choose a layout with a tall medallion and room above and below.
Who is it for?
The gift for anyone who loves Dutch tradition — and for anyone looking for something personal that stands out from the standard presents. Wonderful for a birthday, anniversary, retirement or housewarming, as a personalised souvenir for an international guest, and as a family portrait to hand down.
How do I display it?
Hang it with the hanging eye: a self-adhesive disc with a small brass eye that you stick on the back yourself. Prefer it standing on a shelf, mantel or desk? Choose the wooden tile stand or the black tile stand. Note that every stand covers a narrow strip of the bottom edge, and that a stand only works with the tile in landscape — in portrait it is 19.8 cm tall and topples over. In portrait, hang it with the hanging eye or lean it against the wall without a stand.

I am very happy with how this beautifully crafted personalized tile came out. The picture I provided was from a wonderful, fond memory in the Adirondacks with the lady and I before we got married. Julian took my digital picture and turned it into a family heirloom. It turned out so nice, I think I'll do one that includes our son, and one for our past pets. Excellent quality.. my wife's screenshot from message is attached, as she is traveling to see family in Sweden. She LOVED it :)

We wanted to get a special gift for our friend who really loves their little cat. This was the perfect gift for him. It’s especially lovely and unique because it’s such a special Dutch themed gift. Perfect for Christmas, birthdays and special occasions. Will definitely get some more in the future.

Beautiful
I ordered 2 tiles. Well packaged, they were delivered promptly. It is a beautiful product, so true to nature and it looks so real. Simply great, I am really thrilled. It has more than exceeded my expectations. One tile was a gift and that also went down really well - a great gift idea.
