What makes this style special?

The Sweetheart Illustration style keeps everything that makes the photo yours: the hug, the kiss on the cheek, the hoodie, the sneakers, the backpack you always carry. It only changes how it is told — delicate lines in warm grey-brown, gentle watercolour fills, a clean white background, and hearts floating around you. No caricature, no cartoon: you, drawn with a warm hand. Pick the accent yourself: hearts, flowers or plain.

On ceramic this style works beautifully. The white surface lets the white be truly white and the soft colours stay soft; the result looks like a page from a sketchbook, fired for good.

Why this format?

A hexagon catches the eye because you do not expect it anywhere. On a wall it reads as a honeycomb, a crystal, a road sign that turned out to be art. And because hexagons tessellate without gaps, you can build a wall out of them: one hangs beautifully, three is a composition, five is a wall people keep looking at.

The flip side is worth saying out loud: the four corners of your photo are cut away. With this style you will not notice. The drawing places you in the middle of the tile with a generous white margin around you — the corners that go are empty white, and the hearts float neatly inside the six sides.

How do I display it?

Hang it with the hanging eye: a self-adhesive disc with a small brass eye that you stick on the back yourself. Stand it up with the tile stand, the black upright holder — there is no wooden stand for this shape. Note that the stand covers a narrow strip of the bottom edge.
