Hexagon Watercolour Photo Tile

Washes that bleed into each other, soft edges and colours that breathe — on a tile with six sides. The Hexagon Watercolour Photo Tile translates your photo into the flowing style of watercolour painting and fires the result onto a six-sided ceramic tile of 17 by 15 centimetres.

What makes this style special?

Our AI's Watercolour style carefully keeps your face, expression and recognisable features, and repaints everything else in delicate washes, subtle colour blending and that dreamy watercolour atmosphere. No hard lines, no busy background: just your portrait on a calm white, the way it would have appeared under a watercolour brush.

On ceramic this style works beautifully. The white surface heightens the soft tones and the transparent character of the washes; the result looks like a watercolour in miniature.

Why this format?

A hexagon catches the eye because you do not expect it anywhere. On a wall it reads as a honeycomb, a crystal, a road sign that turned out to be art. And because hexagons tessellate without gaps, you can build a wall out of them: one hangs beautifully, three is a composition, five is a wall people keep looking at.

The flip side is worth saying out loud: the four corners of your photo are cut away. What is left is a wide middle field of 17 by 15 centimetres — and watercolour flows that way by itself. The colour bleeds outward into white, so the corners that go were already fading.

Who is it for?

A refined, romantic gift for mothers, grandmothers, partners and art lovers. Especially loved for portraits of babies, children and pets — and for Mother's Day, a birthday or an anniversary. And for the collector: start with one, add two later, and you have a wall that grew instead of a wall you bought.

How do I display it?

Hang it with the hanging eye: a self-adhesive disc with a small brass eye that you stick on the back yourself. Stand it up with the tile stand, the black upright holder — there is no wooden stand for this shape. Note that the stand covers a narrow strip of the bottom edge.

A watercolour with six sides

Watercolours are often a declaration of love to a subject. On a five-millimetre hexagon that love is noticed before anyone sees who is on it.
