What makes this style special?

The Charcoal Drawing style works the way an artist works: first the form, then the tone. Visible hatching, soft transitions in the skin, deep shadows along the jaw and nose, and a faint paper texture beneath it all. Face, gaze and expression stay exactly as they are in your photo — nothing is made prettier, only told differently.

Almost everything we make in ceramic is square. This is not. How do I display it?

Hang it with the hanging eye: a self-adhesive disc with a small brass eye that you stick on the back yourself. Prefer it standing on a shelf, mantel or desk? Choose the wooden tile stand or the black tile stand. Note that a stand only works with the tile in landscape, and that every stand covers a narrow strip of the bottom edge. In portrait, hang the tile on the hanging eye or lean it against the wall without a stand.
