Printed and fired. Your design is printed on a real glazed ceramic tile and then fired, so it is waterproof and won't fade. It is not hand-painted: you get exactly the preview you see before you order. Most tiles are 15 × 15 cm; there are also 11 × 11 and 20 × 20 cm.

At checkout you choose what fits your size: a tile holder to stand it up, a hanging eyelet to hang it, and on 15 × 15 cm also a wooden or black tile frame. Note: a holder covers the bottom edge of the tile. If your text sits at the bottom, move it to the top or choose a frame, which leaves the whole tile visible.

Choose a product and size, upload your photo (or first create an AI portrait via 'Create your portrait') and check out securely. We custom-make your order and keep you posted by email. You don't need to do anything else, we'll take care of the rest!

Yes. At MakeMeFamous you can preview your AI portrait for free before ordering. You only pay once you're happy with the result.

Usually, yes. After you pay, your order doesn't go to the printer straight away: for most orders there are at least 45 minutes in between. A typo in the address, or a different photo after all? Send us an email or WhatsApp message with your order number within that time. A message with your order number automatically puts a waiting order on hold; we then change it or cancel it free of charge. Once your order is in production, it can unfortunately no longer be changed.

As soon as your order has shipped, you get an email with a tracking link. If you have an account, you also see all your orders under My orders. No email? Check your spam folder or send us a message with your order number (it starts with MMF-).

You pay securely via Stripe, with iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay among others. You see which payment methods are available for your country at checkout.

Yes, every product is custom made just for you, based on your design or photo.

Most orders reach you within 2-4 business days in the Netherlands and Belgium, and within 3-6 business days in the rest of Europe (production included). You always see the expected delivery date for your country on the product page and at checkout, and our Shipping page lists the delivery time per country.

Your shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout, based on your order, the parcel size and your delivery country. Within the Netherlands they start around € 4.50; for other European countries they are higher. In several countries shipping is free above a minimum order value; our Shipping page lists which countries and from what amount. You always see the exact amount at checkout, before you pay. For Sinterklaas (5 December), order by Friday 27 November in the Netherlands, so you still have time for the surprise. For Christmas, our Christmas page lists the last order date per country. Carriers are busy in December, so order earlier rather than later. You always see the expected delivery date at checkout.

Yes. At checkout, enter the recipient’s address as the delivery address. For most tiles you can add gift wrapping. Want to add something personal? Put a name, date or short message on the tile itself.

Let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days: via the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp, with your order number and a photo of the product and of the box. We then make a new one free of charge and ship it at no cost; you don't need to send the damaged one back. Reporting later? We'll still help you, as your statutory warranty continues to apply.

No, returns are not possible. All our products (canvas prints, mugs, puzzles, photo prints, engraved glasses and all other personalised products) are custom-made and produced to order. Under Dutch law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised, made-to-order products. Is something wrong with your order? Then of course we'll send you a new one free of charge.

Use a sharp, well-lit photo in which the face is clearly visible (preferably without sunglasses or a hat) and with the highest possible resolution. Photos from modern smartphones are usually fine. Our AI improves your photo automatically.

After selecting a product, the website asks you to upload a photo. You immediately see a preview of how the product will look. You can also go to the 'Create your portrait' page first, choose from all our styles there and upload your photo to create an AI portrait, you then order that portrait on the product of your choice.

Yes! With our AI tool you turn your photo into one of our dozens of artistic styles. Choose between style transfer (your whole photo in a new style) or face swap (your face on an existing image). You see the result for free, you only pay if you're happy. You can make 3 free creations every day, and if you provide your email address you get extra creations right away.
